A modular suite of data capture applications for retailers, Nucleus IS is hosted on wireless handheld computers. It enables data to be accurately captured through barcode scanning, freeing up staff time for customer service and sales, instead of labour-intensive paper work.

Use data capture functions to improve retail staff productivity and the quality of in-store data with Nucleus IS – In Store. Hosted on mobile computers, data is captured and sent from the computer to the store server or host system.

Price Management Module

• Product/Price Checks
  Check details about products within a store. For example, check the accuracy of displayed prices or label items within the store if the barcodes are missing or unreadable.
  
  
• Price Markdown
  Perform markdowns on demand or based upon a pre-advice notification by the host system. By scanning a product with the mobile computer, a new marked-down price label is generated and produced through a mobile printer.
  
  
• Stock Inquiry
  Review the stock holding for a particular SKU. Upon scanning an item, its description, price, stock on hand, and quantities are displayed.
  
  
• Ticketing
  Quickly label stock within a store using a mobile computer to scan or key in items to be ticketed. For each item, the operator keys in the number of labels to generate. A mobile printer then generates the label.

Stock Management Module

• Goods In/Goods Out
  Quickly and accurately check deliveries and returns in and out of the store using mobile computers, which can display product description and SKU details for verification. Blind and pre-advised capture of deliveries and returns are supported at the item and/or box/carton level
  
  
• Inter Branch Transfers
  Quickly and accurately scan and record products transferred to and from another store.
  
  
• Write Off
  Items that can no longer be sold because they are out of date or damaged can be captured on demand. Record the reason for the write-off when pre-advised by the host system.
  
  
• PI Count
  Perform counting of discrete departments or product ranges to maintain accurate stock levels.
  
  
• Returns
  Scan returned goods and record the reason for the return.
  
  
• Customer Ordering
  Reduce waiting times and enhance customer service at the point of sale, when store staff scan items in customers’ carts while they wait, generating a transaction receipt which speeds up the tendering process at the register.
  
  
• Replenishment
  Minimize stock-outs that might occur by allowing store staff to request goods to be supplied by the corporate office.
